RULES AND REGULATIONS
B.A. 4 - YEAR UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAM (FYUGP) UNDER THE NEW CURRICULUM & CREDIT FRAMEWORK, 2022
Implemented from the session 2024 -2025
A. In the Semester System, the Under - Graduate Examinations will be held in eight parts:
- The First and Second Semester for students enrolled in the First Year.
- The Third and Fourth Semester for students in the Second Year.
- The Fifth and Sixth Semester for students in the Third Year.
- The Seventh and Eighth Semester for students in the Fourth Year.
B. Students can opt for either Singlle Major - Single Minor Programme or Three Discipline Specific Multi - Disciplinary Programme.
C. Any candidate to be eligible for appearing at any of the Semesters of Under Graduate Examination must have minimum 75% attendance of lectures delivered.
D. Students should complete tutorials before appearing at the respective semester examination and the marks obtained will be carried over in case students fail to pass the Course (s).
E. There shall be no qualifying marks for tutorials but the candidates shall have to appear at the said part of the examination. There will be no scope for reappearing in tutorials or reassessment of tutorial mark.
F. The Semester - End Examinations will be held in the last months of the Semesters, namely December (in the odd semesters) and in June (in the even semesters). Tutorials will continue through the Semesters.
G. A student may opt to exit from the Course at the end of the First Year, i.e. 2 semesters with a UG Certificate in the relevant Discipline. Under such circumstances the student will have to secure additional 4 credits in work based vocational courses offered during vacation or Internship in addition to the Skill Enhancement Course studied in the first two semesters.
H. A student may opt to exit from the Course at the end of the Second Year, i.e. 4 semesters with a UG Diploma in the relevant Discipline. Under such circumstances the student will have to secure additional 4 credits in work based vocational courses offered during vacation or Internship in addition to the Skill Enhancement Course studied in the first three semesters.
I. Students who wish to undertake the 3 - Year UG Program will be awarded UG Degree in the relevant Discipline upon securing 124 credits.
J. Students may opt for UG Degree (Honours) or UG Degree (Honours) with Research in the 4th Year. In order to be eligible to opt for Honours with Research, a student has to secure a total of 75% marks across all the Semesters.

- The Third and Fourth Semester for students in the Second Year.

B. A candidate will be awarded marks in the following pattern on the basis of her attendance:

C. Any candidate to be eligible for appearing at any of the Semesters of Under Graduate Examination must have minimum 75% attendance of lectures delivered.
D. Students should complete internal assessments before appearing at the respective semester examination and the marks obtained will be carried over in case students fail to pass the Course (s).
E. There shall be no qualifying marks for internal assessment but the candidates shall have to appear at the said part of the examination. There will be no scope for reappearing in internal assessment examination or reassessment of internal examination mark.
